Pretty Green Manc
So if you dont know already Liam Gallagher released his clothing label earlier this year called Pretty Green.
The idea was that he has a love for clothing and feels that men should care about what they wear and how they wear it (well said Liam!)
well he has released the new clothing line for A/W 09 and I got to be honest the clothing looks good. His collection of jackets have a real military look with a well tailored finish, however the cost leaves a bitter taste right close to the molar region of the mouth, dont get me wrong the FOOL on the HILL jacket in particular looks the business but for at £675.00?
The are some great investment pieces in the collection as well which is always a winner.

Slazenger
Yeah the tennis sports label, you know who I mean.
Urban Outfitters have started selling some of their more vintage looking stuff, Ive gotta say its looking pretty cool definatley a competitor for the Lyle and Scott, fred perry ranges.

High Sweet
River Island
Finally they have stopped selling the same old same o's and decided to look at what people are actually wearing, for years they where selling those dog awful jumpers that clueless people wore.
They have a range called L'arte and it's magnifique, its filled with beautifully tailored and designed t-shirts. best of all they have also introduced a sweet preppy style blazer along with a few other treasures.
Their suits are well crafted and they do one of the best value for money one button blazers at £90.00
Their boots are a great alternative to the expensive All saints and Timberland's counterpanes.
Topman
FINALLY a reasonably priced pair of Carrot or Low Crotch jeans, these are denims that are tailored to be larger near the hips, with a lower cut crotch. The leg then tapers right to the ankle. They shake up any ordinary outfit and look brilliant with a thick knit cardy.
They have some cool new colourways for the plaid shirts, and a chic beige trench coat which will be a must have right through to the spring.
H&M
Place to be for a propper pair of hat and gloves, they do some of the best thick knitted items on the high street at a great price as well. The beauty Item for them this season is their Shome (Ive been told its called this so If I am wrong I'm the messenger and for that very reason should not be shot). Its a long thick knitted tube like scarf that you put your head through, it styles up a suit and looks real cutting edge over a trech coat.
Zara
Always hit and miss for me but they always have fantastic office and formal wear, their shoes aren't too bad either. Carrot jeans are on the menu for Zara as well which at slightly more expensive then the ones at Topman.

French Croc Funk
The Lacoste mid hi's
These beauties fit the formal/informal mashup look like a glove, best worn with a smart pair of jeans and a suit jacket and t shirt or on second thoughts go the whole hog with a shirt and skinny tie.
Alternatively, throw on a t shirt, hoodie (dont zip up) and a thick knitted scarf.
They come in at £80.00 from www.asos.com
but im sure you'll be able to get them cheaper elsewhere.

Supra Star
Calling all street boutiquers
One of the most interesting items of footwear that I have seen in a long while, now all you guys that are well and truly clued up on the footwear front will know that the Supra Skate hight tops have been around for some time, but I saw them again today in Coventry and thought they've gotta be mentioned in MIM.
The one above comes in various colourways and where designed for Chad Muska one of the coolest skaters around.
They come in around the £100.00 mark but they work as a great alternative to the steeply priced Nike Air yeezys and the Louis Vuitton kanye sneakers which break the £100 barrier by a long shot.
The beauty of these trainers is you can wear them with anything "providing the colour goes of course".
Ive seen them worn with shorts, chinos. wide, skinny, carpenter and any other cut of denim. personally I think they look great with a blazer, polo shirt and slim jeans. Seen as its getting chilly chuck on a chunky scarf for good measure.

Attention to detail, Details for attention
Accessories, Yeah thats right accessories,
Bohemian chic
Now I havent really mentioned the various options available, but in all honesty a selection of wrist beads or a leather wrist strap can really finish a look off.
Took me ages to find a decent pair until Topman started selling them for the winter season, H&M also have a great selection of necklaces and wrist accessories. Give Asos a shout as well.
www.asos.com
As an older bloke I think its best to stick to browns and blacks, younger people feel free to try the flourescent rave colours.
BELTS
Compliments an outfit so well, nothing worse than a pair of Denim belt holes dangling in a lonely manner (ok bit exagerated)
Now the belt you choose is totally upto you. Personally I like a slim belt with trousers and sometimes with skinny jeans. However if wearing straight leg or loose fits a chunky belt fills that area, particulary if your wearing a top that ends at your waist, I.e leather bomber jacket or a harrington jacket.
Watches
Although their are loads upon loads of watches Me and Mr Newologist love the casio G shocks range http://www.gshock.com/products/ and Toy watches. For a serious gentleman I love the Philipe Patek and the Chanel J12 or and of course Breitling.
Stay tuned for hats and the rest,
The message here is that a little attention to detail can really make a difference to your outfit, it can save you from spending large amounts of money on clothes as well, providing you master the details.

Thick Essential
One of my personal favourite pieces for winter is the thick cable knit cardigan.
They are ideal for layering and can be worn around town or for a casual drink.
They look great with any cut of denim and look cutting edge with a smart pair of trousers and brogues.
Personally I like to wear mine over a plaid shirt with some low crotch jeans and deck shoes. If its really cold throw on a lighter jacket over the jumper leaving the cuffs showing under it. A saggy hat always completes it for me.
Try H&M and River Island for a decent one. Paul and Joe is great for the big spenders amongst you.

Clarks Desert boots
The 1950's boot is back
A versatile boot which can go equally as well with jeans or smart trousers.
They look fantastic with a slim trousers or a straight leg denim, and are perfectly complemented with a pea coat or thick lenghty trent coat.
The best thing is if you look after them they can be used as a key piece for next spring summer as well, they look brilliant with a pair of chinos and no socks, for a preppy look.

Timmberrrrrrrrrhh!
Timberland Counterpane boots
Just when I though I had found my footwear for the winter , Timberland hit me with this beautifully crafted boot inspired by the traditional work boots of the early 1900's.
Now although I was very reluctant to tell you about these, I decided I would do the good thing and share the wealth.
I intend to get my hand on the cheapest pair available and wear them more often than I have done espradrilles this summer, "which is a lot for the record".
As you may have guessed im gonna wear a slim to straight leg denim, however a carpenter loose fit denim would look just as great for the winter months.
I thick cable knot cardigan/jumper would really carry these off.

casual jog
The simplicity and the fact that it doesnt divert too far from today's high street trends confirms that this will be a trend for winter.
So grab a pair of "fitted" joggers throw on a pair of military boots and plaid shirt.
Two things that could really ruin this look 1) baggy jogging bottoms 2) wearing a hoodie, personally I would go for a leather bomber jacket over the plaid shirt and maybe a saggy hat for good measure.
The above is the collection from topman check it out.

Let me know what you think about this one?

Quilted
By Lavenham
By Voi jeans
By Voi jeans
The quilted jacket less farmer more about town cool.
This jacket is already set to be a popular option for the autumn winter season, infact they are already being sold in "bank" among lots of other shops.
To avoid looking like old Macdonald wear a slim fit version of the jacket, with a pair slim jeans and the Tom's pumps in the previous post.
Dress it up with a shirt buttoned to the top, and dress down with a printed t shirt.
For winter throw on a cool printed scarf (pick one up in H&M) I prefer grey dogstooth.

AuTOMn
Just when we were packing the espradrilles away for another year, Toms hits us with their new Cordones as part of their autumn collection.
These really give a cool twist to the oxford plimpsole. WHATS MORE their charitable element is continued with this product so not only do u get a cracking pair of Plimps you also make a child smile.
I think these would look best with the skinniest blue or grey jeans, a printed t-shirt (try river island or H&M) and a brown leather bomber jacket or dark coloured trench coat.
By the way the cream and brown ones are ladies but I posted them because they are cool as.

Blazer of Glory
The one button blazer is definitely a statement piece for this winter. It can dress up a simple t shirt and jeans outfit or alternatively dress down a smart pair of trousers by including a Polo or a check shirt.
For the daring amongst you throw on a skinny bow tie to be the chic one in the room.
Topman are totally clued up with this piece, theirs is cut as sharp as a Gillette razor and comes in around the £70.00 mark.
Little tip! Although the blazer can be a wintery piece it looks fantastic in the summer with the sleeves rolled up a t-shirt and some tailored shorts. Chuck on a pair of deck shoes for good measure of coarse a pair of white pumps would do the trick.
Please leave the socks at home.

Jeanetics
Trousers London
Definatley one my favourite denim labels, I'm always on the scout for something that swims against the current of the mainstream and I think TL do this with a subtle cool attitude.
They set out in Feb 2008 with a goal to change the disposable fashion culture. Every collection is a limited edition and every item contains an individual ID number.
Their gallery is pretty rock and roll as well.

Ugg boots for men
Yeah I said it UGG BOOTS for MEN, now im gonna be straight with you when I first saw this I thought hmm not so sure but the leather range could really make good of a casual winter outfit,
for example a lumber jack shirt and cable knot cardigan.
This trend is gonna just be like when it became fashionable for men in hot pink.
Trendsetters we will know it has caught on as soon as shoelab do a pair in topman :).

By early birdies I mean for those that are looking towards their autumn winter collections, an essential yes ESSENTIAL investment piece that is really gonna be big this winter is the militant boot.
Their gonna be as cool and versatile as the oxford plimp.
Try with a slim pair of jeans or straight leg, leave the loose or boot cuts in Narnia.
To the shops!
my personal favourites are firetraps new boot collections which are the rock & roll and staggerin in around the £100 mark.
River island have come up trumps with their very own styles for the credit cruncher!
